Surgery Information / Job Description

We are an established standalone small animal practice based in Luton and are looking for a qualified, registered, professional and enthusiastic individual who wishes to be part of a vibrant Vet team. The bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including video endoscopy, digital x rays, ultrasound, orthopaedic equipment, Laser therapy and in-house Procyte/Catalyst IDEXX laboratory facilities. 

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be competent and experienced and able to assist the practice to grow further. However those requiring more support and development are also encouraged to apply. We have the track record of developing vets allowing them to progress their clinical skills in a very supportive environment with an experienced team.
We can offer
- A winning team of 4.5 vets, 4 nurses, 2 animal care assistants and 4 part time receptionists. - Individual case follow up and vet continuity is encouraged.
- Clinical meetings are held regularly to help internal communication.
- The position is full time or part time, will include Saturdays on a 1 in 3 rota basis that allows life to continue outside work and will not involve any OOH. We offer the benefits of a 4 day week Mon-Fri to maintain work-life balance. No Sundays, No nights, No sole charge, No on call. Many Saturdays are just covering the morning.
- We have a great relationship with our OOH provider, Vets Now and our clients are always very happy with the service they provide.

The team you will join are a committed team of individuals that continue to grow the business by providing exemplary customer service and excellent clinical standards. CPD is funded and encouraged. We have monthly clinical meetings and encourage team discussion about cases and this job will encourage you to excel in your areas of interest and progress your career.

Benefits

thThis could be a long term job for the right candidate able to develop clinically and also potentially join in partnership via the Joint Venture Model to share fully in the success of the practice. Salary is dependent on experience from 40,000 to 55,000.
